Welcome
This site displays my knowledge of development of children with disabilities. My research, beginning with the sensorimotor stage in infancy to educating children with learning disabilities, describes specific developmental concepts related to the text: Infants, Children, and Adolescents (Berk, 2012).
The field of special education contains precise instruction and strategies for a vast range of disabilities. Cognitive development of children with (and without) disabilities is closely correlated to school and learning. This requires special educators to closely observe and manipulate the correlation between development and learning for each individual student. See more in Reflection of Special Education
